Lechuga
Criollos are an easy-going, hardy breed bred for their stamina, agility, and temperament. They hail from the pampas (grasslands) regions of South America. They are known for their agility and cow-sense, and are often used on cattle ranches and have been known to be great polo ponies as well. They’re intelligent, willing, sensible, and make the perfect mount for riders of any experience. Criollos come in a variety of colors and patterns, but are well-known for their line-backed duns.
The Tres Leches are meant to embody what the vaqueros in South America look for in their mounts.
Finally, Lechuga rounds out the set. While both Leche and Leite demonstrate the athleticism and hardiness of the breed, Lechuga is different in that he is the epitome of the friendly, goofy personalities found in the Criollos that make them a favorite breed. He may not be the most agile creature, and he can’t really reach the top of his head that’s itchy, but he’s got the eprsonality and humor that will make him a favorite.
